Eucalyptus Ash Range
Ash glaze as the name suggests, is a glaze derived from ashes. The earliest such glazes can be traced back to the Shang period in China (c. 1500BC) One of the most appealing aspects of ash glazes is the pooling and fluidity of the glaze. Eucalyptus Ash glazes are the blue and green glazes which are complimented by a Rutile Orange/Brown. Where the Ash glaze runs over the rutile glaze a myriad of colors appear which makes each pot quite unique and different. These glazes are exclusive to Mountain Ash Pottery, the range is made of stoneware, and all items are fired at 1300oc.
